MassArt Teach-In and a new Pont-Aven Gallery!
I’m delighted to announce I’ll be in Sesson 3, Art, Climate & Justice, where Luanne Witkowski and I will lead a discussion on EcoArt and Artistic Responsibility. Join us and the Sustainability Committee as we gather our extended community together for MassArt’s first virtual climate teach-in event on Wednesday, March 30th, from 6:30-10:00 pm (eastern). We’re participating in the Worldwide Teach-in: Climate/Justice being organized by Bard College in New York, and featuring events hosted by 1,000 institutions worldwide!
MassArt’s evening on climate action and social justice relates to curriculum and creative practice. To spark the conversation, MassArt faculty, students, staff, and alumni panelists will share ideas about how they are tackling important sustainability issues with innovative solutions.
MassArt’s climate teach-in features:
Three sessions, each with presentations/conversations between faculty, students, staff, and alums, on Zoom between 6: 30 and 9:40 PM. All sessions include Q&A conversations with the audience.
After the sessions, the audience will be invited to join breakout conversation/networking sessions with the panelists..

I’m really excited to share with you another gallery project here in Pont-Aven. We are four artists, in a casual collective, consisting of, Melissa Ferreira, Anne Guevel, Abi Parr, and John K. Melvin. We have signed the lease and are busy preparing the studio gallery for our grand opening. Lots of information to come soon, but for now, please reserve the 1st of April, 6pm (CET) for a humble vernissage where the artists will be present. The gallery is at 10 Rue de Abbes Tanguy, Pont-Aven, France 29930. Its best to park at the top of the hill and walk down, so please if you arrive by car, park here. Hope to see you there!!
