Original digital art by Eco-Artist John K Melvin.   Skull Ride is a conceptual work of digital art imagining a monument to the history of the western states of the USA.  The image is composed of a mirror finish reflective sculpture made by the artist and then superimposed 3-dimensionally onto a site-specific photograph.  The background image is a an ancient site where in the past, First Nation peoples used the surrounding cliffs as a buffalo drop.  Inspired by the hunting practices and the sacrifice of life for life, the artist created this reflective sculpture inspired by buffalo, artifacts, and sustainability.  It is a full color photographic work of digital art printed on paper with a wide range of colors evocative of Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Arizona, and other Western States.

The image is 54.26 x 36.48 including a 3cm border for mounting.

1st Edition is limited to 10.  Each limited-edition print ships with an artist signed certificate of edition, and each print has a custom embossed artist signature on the lower right border of the print. These two forms of certification create a truly unique piece of art for any collection.  The artist suggests it be displayed with a 2-inch archival white window mat framing the print just beyond the embossed signature, and all enclosed in a low profile matte black studio frame with UV glass or acrylic glazing.
