Original photograph by Eco-Artist John K Melvin. Photograph is of a site specific sculpture by the artist installed at I-Park Foundation, in East Haddam, Connecticut. The sculpture was inspired by the artist’s research into the soil remediation technology and moss. Enamored with the unique ability of moss to filter heavy metal pollutants, the artist made this shrine like installation to provoke positive and proactive dialog about ecological health. The project was extremely ephemeral and is in a state of decomposition and will feed the soil beneath.
The image is 34×25 cm or 11 x 14 inches with a 3cm border for mounting.
1st Edition is limited to 200. Each limited-edition print ships with an artist signed certificate of edition, and each print has a custom embossed artist signature on the lower right border of the print. These two forms of certification create a truly unique piece of art for any collection. The artist suggests it be displayed with a 2-inch archival white window mat framing the print just beyond the embossed signature, and all enclosed in a low profile matte white studio frame with UV glass or acrylic glazing.
